Alchemy for the Soul
'When the wind calls your name' is a gallery that contains my more ethereal works.
Images that capture both the simplicity and multidimensional nature
of the natural world. Aoraki/Mt Cook features strongly in this series of work
as it is a 'power' point of immense multidimensional significance.
Aoraki/Mt Cook is a significant conduit of energy and along with many other locations worldwide, Aroaki/Mt Cook helps to anchor electromagnetic energy grids that are within, superimposed on, and/or overlie the earth.
The ancestral energies of the Waitaha, our original 'peoples of peace', are strongly present in the Aoraki/Mt Cook area. According to Waitaha legend, a great taonga (Karaku) was transported from their ancestral homeland of Waitangi Ki Roto (Easter Island) and bought to the mouth of the Waitaki River where it was carried upstream and placed on the tallest mountain of the land (Aoraki). This Raraku was placed within a great river of ice which they named in honour of their ancestral homeland - Waitangi Ki Roto. The Raraku was given into the keeping of the ancestors and sits within the 'Waka of the Gods'. The Ngai Tahu who came after the Waitaha hold Aoraki/Mt Cook in similar reverence.
For those who see and feel, guardians and gatekeepers abound thoughout these magestic mountains and lakes of the Southern Alps.
